ALLEN ANDERSEN
SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR AND FOUNDING PARTNER
Allen has over 35 years of experience living in and conducting business in Asia, including experience in every APAC nation, in particular Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mongolia. Allen brings a wealth of experience to every transaction on which he works. As a former Managing Director with Sun Hung Kai Properties Direct Investments Ltd. and with PAMA Group, Allen is deeply experienced with the private equity world in Asia. Most recently, Allen was Managing Director of the Hong Kong office of Portfolio Advisors, a prominent private equity fund of funds manager and financial advisory firm. He has served on the board of directors for a significant number of private and public companies in the USA (NYSE and NASDAQ), Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Singapore, and Korea.
Allen began his career with six years at General Mills and twelve years with Continental Grain Company, including managing their Asian industrial businesses. As a result, he has particular expertise in agricultural products, sourcing and distribution. He has served as a manager, director, and / or investor in over thirty companies across many industries in China since 1981.
Allen has a bachelor’s degree with majors in Accounting and Chinese from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Allen, a fluent Mandarin speaker, resides in Hong Kong.
CARLTON HARRIS
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Carlton has years of corporate experience ranging from launching business start-ups to executive management at multi-billion dollar multinationals. Carlton began his career at Scott Paper (later Kimberly Clark), where he served in a variety of financial roles over fifteen years spent in Corporate Staff and two operating divisions. His first China experience occurred in the Corporate Development department, during which time he traveled around Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America in support of both acquisition and divestiture projects. While at Scott, he worked on twenty closed transactions ranging in size from US$1 million to US$150 million. In 1998, Carlton joined ATP, a US$200 million plastics and rubber “buy & build” investment of the private equity firm, Apax Partners, and closed eight purchase transactions over three years. He left ATP in 2006 as President of ATP China, and founded ATS, a sourcing company with offices in the USA and Shenzhen, China. Also in 2006, Carlton launched Harris Transaction Advisors (“HTA”), an M&A consultancy. HTA has represented both buyers and sellers in the USA and China.
Carlton received a BA in Biology from McDaniel College, and MS and MBA degrees from Duke University. Carlton lives in the USA with his wife, a Chinese national, and son, and is a Mandarin speaker.
JOE YUEN
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Prior to joining Peace Field, Joe served as the Executive Vice President and CFO of Lever Style, a privately-held apparel manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China for brand names such as Armani, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, J Crew and Ralph Lauren. During his nine years with Lever Style, Joe spearheaded the Company’s rapid expansion of its China customer base, and successfully grew Lever Style’s revenue from local Chinese brands to 25% of its global business and substantially improved the Company’s profit margin. At Lever Style, Joe also led the lean manufacturing, sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Prior to Lever Style, Joe was the CFO of Media Nation Inc., a publicly listed outdoor media advertising company with the largest bus and metro advertising network operator in China and Hong Kong. Joe successfully completed the company’s IPO on Hong Kong’s GEM board. Prior to Media Nation, Joe worked in Shanghai for three years heading the finance operation of Dongling Trading Corporation, the very first Sino-foreign joint venture approved by the State Council to conduct general import and export trade. Joe also worked at Continental Grain Company, together with Allen, focusing on China projects.
Joe has a bachelor’s degree in social science from Chinese University of Hong Kong and a master’s degree in commerce from University of New South Wales. Joe speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and English and resides in Hong Kong.
ANDY CHOU
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Having started and worked at several companies of various sizes, Andy Chou is a young leader in international business. Prior to joining Peace Field, Andy Chou was the Managing Director for BAFCO Ltd. and was responsible for all the company’s operations in East Asia. Andy successfully built up a team and the company’s brand in Hong Kong, China, Japan, and established distribution networks in Korea and Taiwan to service well-known MNCs throughout the region.
Previously, Andy was an attorney in the US and worked in legal/business capacities at Fortune 500 companies such as Adobe Systems and Johnson & Johnson, as well as smaller companies and even startups. In his various roles, Andy often lead strategic negotiations, formulated company/department strategies, and built supporting teams. Andy received his Juris Doctor and MBA degrees from Brigham Young University and speaks English, Mandarin, Taiwanese and Cantonese.
DAVID PAN
SHANGHAI PARTNER
David had over 15 years of senior management experience in multi-national companies before he focused on his own practice providing consulting services in cross-border transactions, investments, and mergers & acquisitions. His extensive industry experience has given him sharp insights beyond his financial skill set to screen and execute deals, especially in manufacturing, technology, consumer goods, and real estate. His broad understanding of cultural differences as well as their common grounds has helped him become a successful negotiator and deal maker.
David spent 8 years working and studying in the US and Canada until 2004, at which time he returned to his native country of China and lived in Shanghai.
David holds Bachelor of Science degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China; and MBA degree from Long Island University, C. W. Post, New York, with Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.
Austin has worked in resource exploiting, machinery manufacturing and international trading for many years and possesses valuable experience in corporate governance, negotiation and corporate investment. Austin is the former COO and current Executive Director of board of Dalv Vibration Machinery Co, Ltd, a 25-year-old company selling self-developed vibration machines for mining industries, which is in leading position of the industry in China. During Austin’s period of office, he helps the company complete its transformation and upgrading and successfully led the company in expanding its export business to international markets including Southeast Asia and Africa by implementing western philosophy of corporate management, marketing strategies, business models, product customization and organizational restructuring. Now he is focused on seeking and evaluating new investment areas, initiating market expansion program, and strengthening good relations with government.
Austin is also the founder of DL International Trading Company, a Sydney based INTROCO providing intermediary services in steam coal trades between Australian Coal Companies and Chinese Port Corporations. The company also invested and facilitated successfully contracts to develop gold mines in Zimbabwe and iron mines in Sydney and Zimbabwe. Till this day, 1 million tons of mineral resources transaction has been successfully facilitated by DL.
Austin has a bachelor’s degree with majors in international business and management from Australian National University, and graduated from Senior Leadership Program and Quantitative Finance Program from Stanford University. Austin is also the youngest member ever accepted by Stanford Director’s College – an association for directors and senior executives of publicly traded firms worldwide in its 24 years history.

TERRY WANG, CFA
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Prior to joining Peace Field, Terry spent three years in Shanghai Electric Transmission and
Distribution Group, managing 11 Sino-foreign Joint Ventures and participating in cross-border M&A activities. Before Shanghai Electric, she had 2-plus years’ holistic exposure to small loan and internet finance in the capacity of Executive Assistant to the General Manager in the Credit Guarantee Insurance Business Unit in Ping An (Insurance) Group of China. Prior to Ping An, she worked as a project officer in the International Cooperation Centre of the National Development & Reform Commission of China, charged with improving socio-economic development through China-foreign partnership.
Terry has an MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Master’s degree in Simultaneous Interpretation and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & International Trade.
JULIAN WONG, CPA
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Julian has over 8 years of professional and commercial experience focusing on PRC related consulting projects covering a broad range of industries such as consumer products, paper & pulps, circular economy, manufacturing and apparel. Prior to joining Peace Field, Julian spent 4 years stationed in the Guangdong province and Shanghai as a project manager tasked with turning around distressed investments in the PRC’s green industry for a major Hong Kong family office. Before this position, Julian was a Senior Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Hong Kong) focusing on corporate restructuring, entry strategy and general PRC business advisory for multinational clients making foreign direct investments in the PRC.
Julian holds an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountant with over 5 years post qualification experience. Julian speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
JAMES PAO
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Previous in his career, James worked as a manager at ATL Technology, a US based manufacturer for medical devices. His main responsibility included making operational improvements across the company. After that, James worked as an associate at AltaLink Capital, a mid-market private equity fund focused on acquisitions in companies providing business services, SaaS and technology-enabled services. In his time with AltaLink, James was in charge of deal sourcing and due diligence efforts for deals in the alternative data, human resource technology and point-of-sale technology space.
Recently, James has worked closely with technology start-ups and advised on their growth strategies.
James holds an MBA and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brigham Young University. He is fluent in both English and Mandarin and is currently living in Taiwan.
