PAUL CLAYSON

SENIOR ADVISOR

Paul Clayson is an experienced senior executive with experience developing groundbreaking technologies. He currently serves as Executive Chairman and previously was President and Chief Executive Officer of HzO, Inc. He also serves on the advisory board of the National Nanotechnology Commercialization Association and the University of North Carolina Joint School of nano-science and nano-engineering. Mr. Clayson previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of nCoat, Inc., an award-winning nanotechnology materials development and manufacturing company. He has also served as President and COO of Sequoia Pacific Research Company and as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Voyss Solutions. He also served as a senior officer for a software company, where he helped grow the company from an R&D base to a globally commercialized firm. Mr.Clayson’s business experience has included senior management at both public and private companies. He has served as Chairman of the Utah Nanotechnology Initiative, as a board member and founding Chairman of the Utah Technology Industry Council, as Chairman of the North Carolina WIRED Action Committee for Advanced Manufacturing, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurial Network and as Chairman of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Engineering Resource Center at North Carolina A&T State University.

RICHARD PETTY  Ph.D.

SENIOR ADVISOR

Richard has a professional career spanning business and academia. He has been a professor or visiting academic and delivered lectures and keynote addresses at various universities around the world. Richard has authored and/or co-authored more than 100 academic and professional works including several books, and received awards as a researcher, an editor of academic works, and as an educator. In business, Richard has founded several companies and is an active investor. He has served on numerous public and private company boards. Richard is a past Chair of the Australian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong & Macau, and past Chair and President of CPA Australia. He is a former Board Member of International Federation of Accountants and served as a member of the Business20 (B20) on the Finance and Infrastructure Taskforce. He has also advised on significant projects and investments made in Asia. Richard holds several degrees, including a PhD, and is a university medalist. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia, a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Richard has lived and worked in Asia for more than 20 years. 

MARVIN LAI

SENIOR ADVISOR

Marvin has over 30 years of experience in financial services (VC&PE), technologies, and consumer sectors. Marvin is Managing Partner of iTM Ventures Inc., overseeing iTM-Burgeon’s principal investment and management consulting businesses. Prior to joining Peace Field, Marvin was Chief Investment Officer of Cyberport Macro Fund where he headed the development and investments of the Fund and the cultivation of investor network. Prior thereto, Marvin served as Senior Partner of ES Capital (now OES Capital) and Senior Advisor of LionRock Capital (HK). Marvin began his career at IBM and AT&T Bell Laboratories.

Marvin is Member of Hong Kong Securities and Investments Institute, Director of the Board of Hong Kong Business Angel Network, Executive Director of Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. He is also Associate Professor in Practice at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management.

Marvin holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University, respectively; M.Sc. in Financial Management from University of London; M.A. in Management Research from Macquarie University; and EMBA degrees from INSEAD and Beijing Tsinghua University.

CHENG-GUAN LOO

SENIOR ADVISOR

Mr Loo Cheng Guan is founder and managing director of Vermilion Gate Pte Ltd, a boutique advisory in Singapore focused on M&A. He chairs 1Rockstead GIP Fund II Pte Ltd and Precursor Group Pte Ltd and is also an independent director of Valuetronics Holdings Ltd., a SGX-listed company, and several private companies in Singapore. 

 

Prior to founding Vermilion Gate, Cheng Guan was ED and Deputy Group CEO of C&G Environmental Protection Holdings Ltd., a SGX-listed waste-to-energy investment holding company. Before that, he held CEO positions at Tembusu Partners, F&H Fund Management and Blue Ocean Capital Partners as well as senior positions at MUFG, Nomura, Advent International and Arthur D. Little.

Cheng Guan has spent almost his entire career in investment banking and private equity, advising on corporate finance, M&A and investments. He is a fellow of the HK Institute of Directors and a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and MBA from Monash University in Melbourne.

TANLEY NG

SENIOR ADVISOR

As a veteran in the real estate sector, Tanley has rich experience spanning more than 24 years covering commercial, residential and industrial properties in Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas markets.

 

Currently, Tanley is the founder and director of ChinaLink Asset Management Limited, a Hong Kong-based real estate consulting firm, advising renowned developers and institutional investors in Greater China and overseas markets on asset management, leasing, investment and divestiture of residential, retail and office properties, agricultural land, town planning and industrial revitalization. He is also the Chief Advisor of GEO HOME Properties Consultancy Ltd and Hang King Commerce.  

Tanley was one of the founding member and Senior Director of CBRE Investment Department for South China Region. Prior to that, he was one of the founding member and General Manager of Centapro, a professional retail and investment consultancy firm under Centaline Group covering both Hong Kong and Mainland China. At Centapro, Tanley provided retail planning and leasing consultancy to many landmark commercial projects in China, such as OCT Harbour , KingGlory Plaza, Coco Park and Futian

Galaxy Centre.

 

Tanley is a licensed real estate agent in Hong Kong. He received his Bachelor degree in Social Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He resides in Hong Kong and speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and English
